About Fiverr Fee Calculator
Fiverr Fee Calculator shows what you keep from a Fiverr order after the 20% seller fee, or the price you need to charge to take home a target amount.
Fiverr charges sellers a flat 20% service fee on every order, so a seller keeps 80% of the gig price. The calculator works in both directions: price to take-home, and take-home to the price you must charge. Worked example — a $100 order. Fiverr charges sellers a flat 20% service fee, so the fee is $20 and you keep $80. The reverse direction is the one that catches people out: to take home $100, divide the target by 0.8, which is $125, so charge $125 and Fiverr keeps $25. Table — the same 20% at common prices: $5 order, $1 fee, $4 kept; $10 order, $2 fee, $8 kept; $25 order, $5 fee, $20 kept; $50 order, $10 fee, $40 kept; $100 order, $20 fee, $80 kept; $500 order, $100 fee, $400 kept. Before / after — before: quoting $100 for work worth $100 and being surprised by $80 in the account; after: quoting $125 for the same work and actually taking home $100. The expensive mistake is pricing from the net instead of the gross: a seller who wants $80 for a job and charges $80 keeps $64, not $80, because the fee comes off the price, not off the target. A second mistake is forgetting the withdrawal step — PayPal, bank transfer and card withdrawals each carry their own fee on top of the 20%, so the money in your bank is less than the 80% figure. Buyers pay separately: on top of the gig price, Fiverr charges buyers a service fee of $2 on orders up to $50 and 5% on orders above $50, which is why a buyer pays more than the gig price. Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Fiverr take from sellers?
Fiverr charges sellers a flat 20% service fee on every order. On a $100 order the fee is $20 and the seller keeps $80.
What price do I charge to take home $100?
Divide the target by 0.8: $100 divided by 0.8 is $125, so charge $125 and Fiverr keeps $25.
Are withdrawal fees included?
No. PayPal, bank transfer and card withdrawals each carry their own fee on top of the 20% service fee.
What price do I charge to take home $100?
Divide the target by 0.8. $100 divided by 0.8 is $125, so charge $125 and Fiverr keeps $25. Charging $100 leaves you with $80, not $100.
Why does a $5 gig only pay $4?
Because the 20% fee applies to every order, including the smallest ones. On $5 the fee is $1 and you keep $4. Small gigs are the worst value for the fee, which is why many sellers set a higher minimum.
Do buyers pay a fee too?
Yes, separately. On top of the gig price, Fiverr charges buyers a service fee of $2 on orders up to $50 and 5% on orders above $50. That fee is the buyer's cost and does not come out of the seller's 80%.
Is the 20% fee negotiable?
No. It is a flat rate for all sellers on every order, regardless of level or volume. The only way to change what you keep is to change the price.
