Privacy Policy
How ExpTool handles tool inputs, analytics, contact messages, account data, browser storage and advertising disclosures.
Last updated: October 3, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains the information ExpTool may process when you use exptool.com, including its tools, articles, contact form, account features and first-party analytics that is enabled by default and can be disabled from Privacy settings.
1. Tool inputs and browser processing
Many ExpTool tools perform calculations, text processing, image processing, PDF processing or other transformations in your browser. When a tool is client-side, the data you enter or files you select are processed on your device and are not intentionally uploaded to ExpTool merely to run the tool.
Some features require a network request. For example, a live-data converter may need reference data from an external service, and account or contact features necessarily send the information needed to provide those services. The individual tool or feature should be treated according to its stated processing model.
2. Analytics and measurement
ExpTool operates a first-party aggregate analytics system to understand page views, anonymous visitors, sessions, tool usage, device and browser categories, referrers and approximate geographic information when available. The system uses anonymous browser identifiers and session identifiers for measurement. Tool input values are not intended to be included in these analytics events.
Analytics is enabled by default for first-party aggregate measurement. Preferences can be changed from the Privacy settings control in the site footer. Turning analytics off prevents new first-party analytics identifiers and telemetry from being collected in that browser.
3. Contact messages
If you submit the contact form, ExpTool receives the name, email address and message information that you choose to provide. This information is used to respond to the request, investigate reported problems and communicate about the inquiry. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, private medical records or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary for the request.
4. Accounts and My Work
If you create an account, ExpTool may store the account information required to authenticate you and provide account features. The private My Work area can store saved-tool metadata, notes, pinned state and workflow information associated with the account. Tool input files and generated result bytes are not automatically copied into My Work merely because you use a tool.
5. Browser storage
ExpTool may use browser storage for preferences and requested features such as theme settings, recent tools, favorites, language selection, workflow state and privacy choices. Browser storage remains under the controls of your browser and can be cleared through its site-data settings.
6. Google AdSense and advertising cookies
The current public configuration does not enable advertising by default. Advertising is enabled only after the site's publisher configuration and applicable consent controls are in place.
When Google AdSense is active on the site, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve, measure or personalize advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Users can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.
ExpTool does not control the data practices of Google or other advertising partners. Their own privacy documentation governs information they process through their services. ExpTool will update this policy if its advertising providers or advertising-related technologies change.
7. Third-party services and links
Some pages may link to external services. External websites have their own privacy practices, terms and cookies. Review the relevant third-party policy before submitting information to an external service.
8. Security and retention
ExpTool uses reasonable technical and operational measures appropriate to the services it provides. Retention depends on the type of information: browser-only tool inputs generally remain on the device, while account records, contact messages and aggregate analytics are retained as needed for the associated service and operational requirements.
9. Your choices and privacy questions
You can clear browser storage, change analytics and advertising choices where available, and request help with account or privacy matters. For privacy questions, contact m.shezhadhussain@gmail.com or use the Contact page.
10. Policy updates
We may update this policy when the site's data practices, services or applicable requirements change. The effective update date will be shown at the top of this page.
