About ExpTool

Learn how ExpTool is built, maintained and documented as a practical collection of browser-based tools.

What ExpTool is

Owner and primary site contact: Shehzad Khan. ExpTool is maintained as an independent web project, with product, technical and editorial decisions managed by the site owner.

ExpTool is an independent web platform for practical digital tasks such as working with PDFs, images, text, developer data, QR codes, spreadsheets and everyday calculations. The site is designed around a simple idea: a visitor should be able to open a focused tool, understand what it does, complete the task and verify the result without unnecessary steps.

ExpTool does not present itself as a government agency, professional advisory service or certification body. Tool results are provided for practical use and should be checked before they are used in a consequential legal, financial, medical, academic or business decision.

How the toolkit is maintained

Public tools are maintained as working software rather than as static keyword pages. Releases may add tools, improve processing workflows, correct calculations, improve accessibility, refine mobile layouts and update supporting documentation. The public release record on ExpTool's methodology page provides a visible history of product changes.

Where a tool depends on an external service, live reference data or a browser capability, the relevant tool documentation should explain that limitation. Where processing can happen locally in the browser, the site aims to keep the user's working data on the device rather than sending it to ExpTool servers.

Editorial and quality approach

ExpTool guides are intended to answer a real task, explain the workflow, identify important limitations and help the reader verify the result. We avoid presenting automated output as infallible. For calculations, conversions and document workflows, the appropriate source document, formula, standard or final output should be checked when accuracy matters.

The Methodology page explains how tool documentation, workflow guides and quality checks are organized. Corrections and useful feedback can be sent through the Contact page.

Privacy by design

Many ExpTool tools are designed to process inputs in the browser. That does not mean every feature is network-free: some tools need external reference data or a server request to perform a specific function. The Privacy Policy describes the site's analytics, contact-form, account and advertising practices and identifies the important exceptions.

Advertising and independence

ExpTool is intended to keep its core tools freely accessible. Advertising, when enabled after the relevant publisher approval and configuration, is treated as a separate part of the experience and should not replace the information or functionality users came for. Tool recommendations and editorial guidance are not sold as paid search placements.

Contact and corrections

If you find an incorrect calculation, broken workflow, misleading description, inaccessible control or factual problem in an article, please report it through the Contact page. Include the tool or article URL and enough detail for the issue to be reproduced.
